Thank God For Andy Rubin

AndyRubin We're coming off of a very private performance at Cyclops in Baltimore.  Anne McCue did a free show for about 8 of us the other night, in a venue where we think something really big is about to happen...

You see there's this guy, Andy Rubin, who moved Cyclops into this basically abandoned space in the Station North Arts District of Baltimore.  It's a gutsy move.  But his passion and drive to make this venture happen is astonishing.  It will happen.  And when it does, we at Music Fog will be very proud to say that we helped and witnessed the birth of this highly nontraditional place for music, art & literature.

Andy is still very much in the “revitalize zone” for Cyclops.  It’s just a start.  There is much work to be done in terms of physical design of the space. But Andy doesn’t care.  He’s still plowing ahead with his vision, and leaving the doors open to anyone who would like to come in a share.

We have witnessed some top performers in this space recently.  If you come to Cyclops to see someone perform, you will wonder how the hell Andy is doing this!  Nobody is shaking you down for money.  The doors are wide open to the street.  And there is a seasoned artist with a new CD on stage playing for free!  I mean…what?!!

There are very good bones here.  That is why we know Andy Rubin will be successful with this venture.  If you happen to be in the area, check out Cyclops on Facebook.  Then go there.  You will be just as astonished as we are.
