I know, I know, the Music Fog crew is starting to get excited about the upcoming adventure to the Great White North for MusicFest at Steamboat Springs. We wax poetic about frolicking in the snow, of 10 degree days or nights, of relentless champagne powder falling gently among the twinkling après Christmas lights still gracing the trees. But ya know, not everybody gets it. I remember talking to Jerry Jeff Walker one night at The Birchmere in Alexandria, and telling him that he needed to make the MusicFest scene one of these years, and he said, "Snow, I don't think so! You will find me in Belize." Which is a beautiful place, too, we hear.
In keeping with the head south tradition, Donna The Buffalo ventures to western Palm Beach County in Florida for a January 2nd date at The WCHS Theater in Wellington. Palm Beach...now doesn't that sound delicious too? Easy breezes, sand between your toes, drinks with fruit juice, t-shirts and flip flops. May have to go there next!
