Dolph Ramseur is busy creating quite the buzz on his Ramseur Records label. The roll started with The Avett Brothers, who are audience pleasers, and most recently have been signed to American Recordings, Rick Rubin producing the album, "I And Love And You," which is due out next month. Then there is Samantha Crain, fast becoming a media darling; heralded by the music press as well as major market dailies, now on tour with Langhorne Slim. Story goes that Samantha heard Frontier Ruckus through a wall as they were playing in the next room. Dolph came to listen, and they are the newest artist signed to his label.
Enter Andy Rubin, who has incredible passion and ears, and has a brand new arty and eclectic bookstore in Baltimore, the Cyclops. He is always bringing folks in to play, and with very little notice, this showcase came together on Tuesday evening. Music Fog found out about it on Monday, and Baltimore being so close, it was "roadtrip!" We were blown away. See what you think about this amazingly talented young outfit from Michigan.
