There are some artists who are simply undeniable; they are a force of nature. Enter Paul Thorn. And oh, how he has grown these last twelve years. Since his A&M debut, Hammer & Nail in 1997, Thorn has animated characters, slowed us down to contemplate life, and stopped our hearts with beautiful ballads.
These years have been good in rounding out what has become a deep and rich, if sometimes zany, catalog of music, all written from an unmistakeably personal perspective celebrating life. And then add The Paul Thorn Band, hot damn are they all players! Tight and hot, this here is mighty fine stuff indeed. Cut to the most recent album, A Long Way from Tupelo for this track "Starvin' for Your Kisses," which we taped last week in Baltimore at the 8x10. Watch it smolder!
