WSNB = We Sing Nasty Blues

-Dennis, Fan Reporter #008

Greenville, SC

Wsnb WSNB made their first appearance in South Carolina (Myrtle Beach don't count) on Saturday at Medusa's in Greenville. Chel and the crew there treated us like royalty. I could only imagine what it would be like if I had my Fan Reporter credentials (hint hint)...

The band Evelynn Rose from Charlotte NC got the show started with some great original Indie and what I called "hard southern rock." When WSNB took the stage everyone was blown away! This band is a must see! These guys don't look like a blues band, they are some big ole white boys except for Nate Brown on guitar, I think they, Jason Gardner / Drums, Clay Ford / Bass and Willie Shane Johnston / Vocals, Mouth Harp take Nate's food away from him.

We were treated with music from their two albums, Jomo Swamp Root Boogie and their latest Oktibbeha County. Willie nailed every song, "Stir Crazy" "Pass You By" "Take Your Blues Away" just to name a few. The former station X Country was mentioned by Willie when they done "Rusted." When you see this band don't stand too close, when Willie gets going spit goes to flying like a Baptist preacher and watch out when he knocks the slobber from his mouth harp! I don't have the words to tell how much I like this Band. Buy their music and go see them!
