CF Donohoe "Alignment"

CF Donohoe I love this...I didn't notice when the email came in,  as there are handfuls thrown at me at a time. But I do remedial checking back every few hours to see if I missed something, and that is when I saw this entry. I had never heard of CF, or the label, and to my knowledge, I am not sure if I know anyone there. Buy I watched the video, and I was entranced.

CF Donohoe answers the question, "Can Americana come from outside of the United States?" To which I reply, "You bet!" Donohoe is Scottish. This is his first US release. He listened to heavy techno growing up, until he heard something life changing. "My dad put on “Rainy Day Women”, and after 45 seconds, my mum asked him to turn it off. I had no idea why, but kids latch onto things like moss on stone." Dylan. CF found the CD later in a kitchen drawer, and that song still resonated. And as a touchstone, and a point of departure into the exploration of music and storytelling, we bring you words and pictures from CF Donohoe. Scotlandiana!
