Well I am back in Austin, doing the running that I didn't do during SXSW. Last night at the One 2 One it was to see a brand new band with lots of old friends; The Twalls are Matt Powell, George DeVore (chick magnet) Ray Rodriguez and Jimmy Jam. They actually all have renamed themselves with Twall as a last name, and it is a" thing" so make them explain when you see them, and see them you must! Great groove, great touch. That was last night's action (til the bar closed. Ahem)...

Tonight we started while the sun was still up. Charlie Terrell at The Continental Club for a decadent and intense cooking rocking roots bluesy bad assness. At Tom Gillam and The Tractor Pull now at Momo's. It's a reunion show after a year's hiatus. They are playing the KNBT Americana Jam on Sunday at Gruene Hall too (Checkout the lineup here). Next stop is Anne McCue at The Scoot Inn. Who knows after that. Maybe I'll report back, if I can still type, that is.

[UPDATE: It was Aussie lass squared last night at the Scoot Inn, as Audrey Auld joined Anne McCue. Then it was Thursday night festivities host Dave Insley with Brennan Leigh, and The Texas Sapphires finished off the night in the oldest continuously operating club in Austin, as someone told me last night.
