YouTube Comment Report

YouTubeA couple of weeks ago we put up a YouTube Report on who was being watched, and in what countries. A very riveting read indeed. I am proud to report that Chuck Mead is still #1 (with a bullet) in Portugal. Eilen Jewell and Madison Violet are being watched all over the world, and Eilen's Music Fog video is being used as part of her nomination treatment for the Boston Music Awards. That makes us Foggers very happy. And if you go to the Boston Music Awards site today (11/30/09 deadline) you can vote for your favorites. Please note that Annie & The Beekeepers are listed under Jazz Act Of The Year. We are not sure why.

As for comments, we get them in two locations.
1. On this website itself.
2. On the Music Fog YouTube channel.
Comments are good. After all, isn't the interactive nature of the web what this thing is all about? So we get a lot of smiley faces (; and one word comments.  That's the nature of the beast. Some comments are truly heartfelt and insightful.

James McMurtry The video with the most comments is James McMurtry "Choctaw Bingo" (59). And "awesome" is the most commonly used single word.  "Awesome" stands alone as well. And that's fine by us. Here are some of the other comments - listed by artist alone.

James McMurtry: IMHO, Southern boys are a lot "easier" with violence and lawlessness than the average citizen. That's all.
Chris Smither: Thanks you guys! Keep on rockin' the real world! Viva la Revolución Americana! ;-)
Otis Gibbs: I'd like to live on the bus. Y'all put the best talent on!!
Paul Thorn: Warning, Paul Thorn music may become habit forming.
Eilen Jewell: Zucht....en zo zouden er meer plaatjes gemaakt moeten worden. Heerlijk zwoel nummer.
Walt Wilkins: I don't think I've ever seen the idea of three chords and the truth applied so purely. Great song.
Eilen Jewell: Great voice and lyrics, we don't get this sort of thing over here in England very often. She should be on the Jools Holland show asap.
Sarah Jarosz: She gives us hope for the future of REAL American music in the face of all the phony posers out there .
Will Hoge: Great version of this song but the lighting in the room and camera angles creep me out a little.
Lovell Sisters: Herald of good music in the new century!
James McMurtry: Oklahoma rap. Who'd'a thunk it.
James McMurtry: Thats the best eight and a half minutes I've spent since by x-wife stopped by.
Those Darlins: Songs about eattin chicken - new genre. I chew and suck the bones dry cause I'm a man that dont let nothin go to waste.

Diana Jones: Is it really necessary to get so in her face with the camera while she's singing
