In Nashville, we were lucky to have Tara Nevins of Donna the Buffalo drop by the Music Fog bus, and doubly so when she brought The Believers with her. They jammed together for a total of four songs, and this one, "Higher Ground" from the Believers' Lucky You project, is something special. It feels like bluegrass at first, then blues, and finally becomes something else entirely. It's a big sound from just three people, and if you like what you hear, they've got a few shows together, including a New Year's Eve spectacular at the Loveless Barn in Nashville---a perfect setting for a midnight toast with these two bands.
