This is the first Halloween for Music Fog. Our first opportunity to look through the content that we've captured and see what applies to the occasion. Boy did we get lucky this time.

Bobby Bare Jr. took the Music Fog stage at SXSW in the back room at Threadgills with a beat up guitar and his ability to work the crowd like a guy who wants to guess your weight at the state fair. When he performs the rule book goes out the window. So much so, we have no idea how to post the rest of the video we have of his performance because it is just pandemonium. At one point the camera leaves in the middle of his performance to follow a guy to the parking lot while he retrieves a harmonica Bobby wants to "swap spit" on. He starts. He stops. He drops a song because he just doesn't feel like doing it.

This song is based on a real Halloween experience Bobby had in Atlanta. When he finished his set at Threadgills, we asked him for the title...Bobby didn't know. He said, "Call it Night of 1000 Whores." But he changed his mind more than once, and finally settled on "Rock and Roll Halloween."

This should be the standard all things are measured from. Including body mass index.
