I love when someone knocks on your door, love opening it and finding something extraordinary!

And so it was when, at the beginning of the year, I heard from old friend Mark Cunningham at Aware Records. He said he had picked up a new act, The Lovell Sisters, and asked if would I put my ear to it. Talented, beautiful, and self starters to boot!

Cut to the AMA Fest week. They knocked on the door of our bus first thing Saturday morning. A sight for sore eyes, as I am sure the "Fog Men" would tell you! And then they played…Jessica (fiddle and sings lead on 1/2 the songs), Megan (dobro and sings backing vocals) and Rebecca (mandolin and sings lead on 1/2 the songs). Oh yeah, and they write too; 7 of 11 songs on their second studio album Time To Grow which was released this spring. Here's "I Belong To Love."

The Trishas "Whistling"

Trishas We feel very lucky here at Music Fog. There are very few recordings of The Trishas, and we have been honored my their presence on the bus today. This collection of voices gathered at the annual Steamboat MusicFest this year for their supposed one-time performance at The Kevin Welch Tribute. They gathered around one microphone and sang their hearts out. It was one of those moments that captured lightning in a bottle. They have been together ever since. 

Here they are performing "Whistling" on The Celebrity Coach bus.

Yonder Mnt. String Band Live on the Rocks

Red Rocks What a night on the Rocks.  On Friday night, Yonder Mountain String Band celebrated the release of their new record THE SHOW with over 9000 fans in Denver, CO at the beautiful Red Rocks Amphitheatre just forty miles from where they became a band.  Check out what you missed by watching this live video of the single "Complicated" from the concert.
